For those people who like to collect data on themselves, I have created a small program that can quantify intellectual quickness.
It’s a very easy program that times how quickly you can so simple arithmetic, 10 questions in total, 5 multiplications and 5 additions. The questions themselves are really quite easy, and the whole test takes a under a minute. The results are appended onto a csv file called “results.csv” (text editor/excel readable), with the date and the time of the test.
Generally the first several uses will be atypical as you will be getting used to the program, but afterwards the data will be good. Looking at how this correlates with your other data could be interesting. Or you can use it to see you alertness as a function of different times in the day etc.
